Why am I being asked to provide my Authorize.Net client key?

For added security, Authorize.Net users will be required to enter their Authorize.Net public client key in their Wild Apricot payment settings. You'll have until May 20th to do so. After that date, Authorize.Net users without a client key in their payment settings will be automatically switched to accepting manual payments only. You can, at any time after May 20th, enter your client key and resume accepting online payments using Authorize.Net.

Where do I find my client key?

To find your Authorize.Net public client key, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your Authorize.Net account as a merchant.
  2. Click the Account tab.
  3. Under Security Settings, click Manage Public Client Key.
  4. On the screen that appears, you can copy your public client key or create a new one.

Where do I enter my client key?

To add your public client key to your Wild Apricot payment settings, follow these steps:

  1. From the main admin view (not the Website module), click the Settings menu to display the Global settings screen.
  2. Click Payment settings under Your account.
  3. On the Payment settings screen, click the Edit button. 
  4. Enter your public client key in the Client key field.
  5. Click Save changes.
