The Version 5.4.1 update consists of the following changes and enhancements.
New responsive versions of existing themes
Responsive versions will be available for website themes – Clean Lines, Dark Impact, Treehouse, and White Space – which were not initially responsive.
You can continue to use the non-responsive version of your current theme, or you can switch to the responsive version as you would switch to any other theme. However, if you do switch to the responsive version, you will not be able to switch back to the non-responsive version.
When you switch to a different website theme, all theme overrides and any customizations made on the Colors and styles screen will be discarded.
The responsive versions of previously non-responsive themes may include different features, gadget settings, theme folders, and color and style options. For example, most of the newly responsive themes include options for setting the background color of functional buttons such as Donate, Post, Pay, Next, and Cancel For more information, see the individual theme pages.
To distinguish between the two versions within Wild Apricot screens and documentation, the non-responsive version – which is being replaced by the newer responsive version – will be labelled as deprecated.
Responsive themes now flagged on Themes screen
Themes that are responsive will appear on the Themes screen with both desktop and mobile thumbnails.
Older themes being deprecated
Some older website themes – Memo, Glass, Keynote, Notebook, Aurora horizontal, Aurora hybrid – are being deprecated. You will no longer be able to switch to them from the Themes screen, though you can continue to use them if you are already doing so. However, once you switch to another website theme, you will be unable to switch back to the deprecated theme.
Bug fixes
A number of bugs were fixed, including the following:
- Unsubscribe link issues within email
- Email partially truncated
- Theme color not applied to Event description in Dark Impact themes
- Colors and styles issues with Fiesta themes
- Last update field in member profile updated on renewal date
