Version 6.11 release

To be released beginning on October 16, 2018. The release will be published in batches over the space of a week to ensure stability. Consequently, some changes may not appear on your account up to a week after the release date.

The Version 6.11 release includes the following changes and enhancements.

Members location mapping gadget

Using the members location mapping gadget, you can display an interactive map that shows where your members are located, and displays information about each member.

The process of setting up a members map involves setting up Google Maps integration, inserting a members location mapping gadget, then adjusting the members location mapping gadget settings.

A Google billing account is required to access the Google APIs used by the members location mapping gadget. Depending on the number of times your member map is viewed, Google may charge the credit card associated with your Google account.

For each Google billing account, a credit of $200 USD is automatically applied. In other words, the first $200 of Google Maps API usage is free. To limit or avoid charges beyond the credit limit, you can set your own API limits and alerts.

Emailing initially disabled for new accounts

For 50% of new Wild Apricot accounts, most emails will be initially disabled, allowing clients to avoid emailing contacts while setting up the account. No emails – except the Password for new contacts, Forgot password and New administrator emails – will be sent to contacts. Instead, they will be routed to the organization contact's email address, as specified on the Organization details screen. All manual emails will also be routed to the organization contact.

This will not affect existing Wild Apricot accounts.

Once you are ready to enable emailing, you can click the Enable emailing button within your email settings.

Once you enable emailing, you cannot disable it again.

Bug fixes

A number of bugs identified by our clients have been fixed, including but not limited to the following:

  • Limited administrators can now only delete files or folders that they have added themselves.
  • Invoice sent to customer after making payment within 15 minutes
  • Authorize.net payments fail if Organization value is longer than 50 characters
  • Code 2 transactions from Authorize.Net are being recorded as successful
