Payment System Servicing Fee

A 20% Payment System Servicing Fee is applied to the WildApricot subscription price for organizations based in the US and Canada that use an online payment system other than WildApricot Payments/AffiniPay.

If the Payment System Servicing Fee applies to your account, when will you be charged?

The Payment System Servicing Fee will be applied to your account's billing plan on your subscription renewal date.

This servicing fee is not applied if any of the following are true:

  • You have not enabled online payments
  • You are using WildApricot Payments/AffiniPay as your WildApricot payment system
  • Your organization is based outside the US or Canada

Why does WildApricot charge this fee?

We want to focus our development and testing resources on features that work with WildApricot Payments, allowing us to deliver features that can help clients generate more revenue and better manage their finances, such as: 

  • Recurring donations
  • Issuing refunds within WildApricot
  • Keeping credit cards on file for faster checkouts

Supporting third-party payment systems like PayPal and Authorize.Net takes resources away from our development and support teams. For this reason, we charge a Payment System Servicing Fee to customers who choose to use a third-party payment system instead of WildApricot Payments.

How do I avoid paying this fee?

If the Payment System Servicing Fee applies to your organization, you can avoid the fee by switching your payment system to WildApricot Payments/AffiniPay before your next subscription renewal date.

What if I switch to WildApricot Payments after I renew?

If you start using WildApricot Payments as your payment processor after you renew your annual or 2-year subscription, we'll issue you a prorated refund. If you have a monthly subscription plan, the servicing fee will be removed from the next scheduled renewal payment.

What if I switch to WildApricot Payments after I receive my invoice but before my renewal date?

We'll issue you a new invoice minus the Payment System Servicing Fee.

What if I switch away from WildApricot Payments after I renew?

  • If you are on a monthly subscription plan, we'll start charging the servicing fee when you next renew. 
  • If you are on an annual or 2-year plan, we will bill you a prorated servicing fee. 
  • If you pay your account fee by credit card, we will charge your credit card immediately. 
  • If you pay by invoice, we will send you an invoice for the prorated fee.
