Why does my message cost more than expected?

One factor that can affect the campaign price is the message length. If your message exceeds the maximum character length allowed, the system will split it into smaller messages. If this happens, the smaller messages will appear as one message on the recipient's phone; however, the resulting campaign price will be higher because the one large message will cost the same as two smaller ones.

WildApricot's text messaging service will take the message length into account when estimating the campaign price, but the final message length may increase if it includes macros whose content pushes the message length over the limit. 

Important Note: Billing for the Text Messaging service is separate and different from the billing for your WildApricot subscription plan. You must apply for a Text Messaging account and provide credit card billing information for that account. Text Messaging is not bundled with any WildApricot subscription plan.
