Setting up recurring payments

For automatic recurring payments to work properly in Wild Apricot, your payment processor account must be set up as follows:

  • Authorize.Net: you must subscribe to their Customer Information Manager (CIM) service. Note that Automated Recurring Billing (ARB) option does not work with Wild Apricot.
  • Moneris: you must enable the Vault feature for your store.
  • PayPal Payflow Pro: you must subscribe to the Recurring Billing Service.
  • PayPal Payments Pro: you must subscribe to the Recurring Payments service. If you do not subscribe to this service, members can only pay for recurring memberships using the PayPal Express Checkout button. Any attempts to pay using the Pay with credit card option will fail.  Members have the option to pay with their credit cards or their PayPal account.
  • PayPal Payments Standard or Express Checkout: membership applicants for levels with recurring payments MUST have a PayPal account, they cannot pay with a credit card.
  • All PayPal payment systems: you must enable instant payment notification (IPN) in your PayPal account.
  • Stripe: no special setup required.
Recurring payments are not supported for other payment systems.
