Wild Apricot’s move to AWS – clients without custom domains

Wild Apricot has switching cloud platforms, moving to Amazon Web Services (AWS) as of July 4th, 2017.

Why did Wild Apricot do this?

Some time ago, we realized our current hosting provider wasn’t delivering the service level our clients needed, and so we started exploring alternatives.

Why Amazon Web Services?

We chose AWS based on their worldwide reputation for being the fastest and most reliable cloud platform available. Leading companies like Netflix and Expedia run on AWS. For more information on AWS, click here.

Can I expect an improvement in Wild Apricot performance?

Once the migration is complete, you should notice an improvement in the reliability of your Wild Apricot site.

How will this affect my website?

Apart from improved performance, this move will have no effect on your Wild Apricot site. Your site should appear just as it did before.

Can I continue to update my website on the day of the migration?

Yes, you can continue to modify your website on July 4th. Depending on the timing of your changes, it may take up to 3 hours for them to be reflected on your website.

What if something goes wrong?

Wild Apricot staff will be on call to ensure that the migration goes smoothly, and to respond to any issues that might arise. Updates will be provided on our Service notices page.

How can I keep up to date on the migration and any related issues?

Throughout the migration, we will be posting updates to our service notices page, and to our Twitter and Facebook accounts.
